About Us

Our Story

7 Seas Whale Watch was born from a simple frustration. After years of planning our own wildlife trips, we kept running into the same problem — beautiful photos and vague descriptions, but almost zero practical information about how to actually get there, which airlines are reliable, and what to do when weather ruins your plans.

So we decided to create the guide we always wished existed.

Who We Are

We are a small, independent team of passionate travelers, former tour leaders, and wildlife enthusiasts. Our headquarters are in San Diego, but our hearts are scattered across remote corners of the planet — from the fjords of Norway to the deserts of Namibia and the icy waters of Patagonia.

We don’t just write about wildlife travel. We live it.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make responsible, nature-focused travel more accessible and less stressful. We believe that the best wildlife experiences happen when travelers are well-prepared, flexible, and respectful of the places they visit.

We cut through marketing fluff and give you honest, experience-based advice that actually helps on the ground.
Honesty

We tell you the real challenges as well as the wonders.

For nature, local people, and the animals we are lucky to observe.

Flexibility

We teach travelers how to adapt when plans change, because in wild places they often do.
